RENCANA TINDAKAN TERTULIS PASIEN ASMA (WRITTEN ASTHMA ACTION PLANS:WAAPS) SEBAGAI PANDUAN EDUKASI UNTUK MENJARANGKAN KUNJUNGAN ASMA KE UNIT GAWAT DARURAT

Abstract

Asma merupakan masalah kesehatan di seluruh dunia, baik di negara maju maupun di negara-negara sedang berkembang. Kunjungan pasien asma ke departemen gawat darurat merupakan tanda gagalnya manajemen karena adanya hubungan dengan control yang buruk terhadap obat-obatan, tidak memiliki rencana tindakan tertulis atau written asthma action plans (WAAPs), tidak ada edukasi pada saat kunjungan ke fasilitas kesehatan, dimana itu semua adalah kunci dari penduan manajemen mandiri penyakit asma. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi manfaat WAAPs sebagai panduan edukasi untuk menjarangkan kunjungan asma ke Unit Gawat Darurat.Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini yaitu penelusuran artikel jurnal dan analisis artikel dari tahun 2005-2012. Penelusuran artikel dari  data base Ebsco Host, Proquest, Medline, CINAHL, buku,  menggunakan kata kunci asthma action plan, education for asthma, asthma management in emergency department, asthma visit . Hasil yang didapatkan dari analis literature adalah salah satu modalitas dari edukasi adalah dengan pemberian rencana tindakan tertulis bagi pasien asma atau lebih di kenal dengan written asthma action plans (WAAPs) dapat mengontrol manajemen asma secara mandiri, dan mengurangi kunjungan ke unit gawat darurat dan rumah sakit Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka diharapkan perawat dan dokter yang menangani pasien asma dapat menerapkan WAAPs untuk menjarangkan kunjungan pasien asma ke UGD.
